Voluntary Information: When you specifically request information, printed materials, or are participating in any of our online surveys or assessments, you will be asked to identify yourself and submit certain information to us through an online submission form. Some of the requested information is discretionary, and some is required (such as name, address, and other contact information). We use this information to respond to your correspondence. In addition, we may add your information to one or more databases that we maintain. These databases are intended to provide important demographic information to us about our current and prospective clients. We may also disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on MCA, or any of its affiliates; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of MCA and its Web site(s), (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of MCA employees, users of MCA products or services, or members of the public; and/or (d) to enforce the policies or agreements of MCA including the collection of amounts owed to MCA. We will not sell, trade, or rent any specific information collected online. Without explicit written consent, we will only share voluntary information with other MCA-affiliated entities and only for the purposes described above.
Anonymous Information: If you visit our website simply to browse, we collect and store the following information: the name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com); the Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site. We also use WebTrends Live to analyze traffic throughout the site. This software only collects aggregate data and does not create individual profiles for visitors. A cookie is a small text file that the website places on your computer’s hard drive in order to collect information. The cookie transmits this information back to the website’s host computer. This information is used to track the number of visitors to the different sections of our website, which makes it more useful and current. You may delete stored cookies or control how cookies are stored according to the browser options installed on your computer.
Security: We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to protect the transmission of information you submit to us when you use our secure online forms. As a matter of policy, MCA will not use forms of instant messaging (IM) when responding to initial requests for information.
